The Language Friends programme (Keelesõber) brings together an Estonian language learner and a volunteer mentor with good Estonian language skills to communicate in Estoniad and in this way practise the language.
This year, the program season will take place from February 14 to May 14.
Native or fluent Estonian speakers are welcome to participate in the Language Friends programme as mentors by registering on the website of the Integration Foundation by 6 February 23:59 at the latest. Read more and register: https://integratsioon.ee/en/language-friends/mentors.
Estonian language learners who have reached level B1 or higher will be able to join the Language Friends programme from 7 February 07:00. The registration will last until the positions are filled. The according link will be published at https://integratsioon.ee/keelesober/keeleoppijale immediately before registration begins. There is no pre-registration.
The programme team will start bringing together mentors and learners on Valentine’s Day, 14 February. Language friends can communicate with each other until 14 May.

The activities are carried out with the support of the European Union’s 2021–2027 Cohesion Policy and Internal Security Funds and within the framework of Project No. 2021-2027.4.07.23-0006 of Decree No. 80 of the Minister of Culture of 15 March 2023 ‘Conditions for granting support for carrying out activities supporting integration, including adaptation, in Estonian society’.
